Paul Elvinger

Hi there! I’m a Machine Learning Engineer at Wayve in London, where I focus on improving training efficiency. Wayve is an autonomous driving technology company developing AI software for self-driving vehicles.

Before joining Wayve, I completed my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Science at ETH Zurich. I also worked as a Research Assistant at ETH’s Efficient Architectures and Systems Lab, collaborating with Foteini Strati under the supervision of Prof. Ana Klimovic. My research focused on addressing GPU underutilization by spatially colocating multiple workloads on the same GPU and predicting the resulting interference patterns.

Prior to my Master’s, I worked as a Data Engineer at Archlet, a Zurich-based startup building an AI platform to support faster and better sourcing decisions. I also completed an internship at Oracle Labs in Zurich, where I focused on application security.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me doing sports. Winters are dedicated to skiing, while in summer I’ve developed a new passion for endurance sports (marathons and triathlons).

You can find a copy of my CV here.
